Aransas Pass Municipal Court serves the residents of San Patricio County, the 139th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Aransas Pass district clerk and county clerk. Issues that should be filed with the county clerk or the district clerk should be strictly filed within the respective courts; luckily, the staff is friendly and will help you through the process.

The current Aransas Pass Municipal Court judge has been in office since 2016 and has dedicated his life serving the Aransas Pass. The courts, the district clerk, and the county clerk’s office are located in the historic San Patricio County Courthouse. The Aransas Pass Municipal Court is located on 645 West Lott Avenue in the city of Aransas Pass, the San Patricio county seat.

The administration of justice in the Aransas Pass Municipal Court is open, transparent, and open to the public. All the proceedings and acts of the court are recorded and maintained by the San Patricio County Clerk’s Office.  The public can access the record online or by mailing the county clerk’s office located at San Patricio County Courthouse. The requests are made by creating a written statement indicating a request for the records, the case number, and requisite application fees in a stamped self-addressed envelope. For more information about court proceedings, visit the court’s official site.

Aransas Pass Municipal Court was first built in 1891 in the San Patricio Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in August 1896. Four courthouses have been built in Aransas Pass. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome. You can call 361-758-2888 to the court during office hours to get more information.
