Nacogdoches County Court serves the residents of Nacogdoches County, the 6th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Nacogdoches district clerk and county clerk. Issues that should be filed with the county clerk or the district clerk should be strictly filed within the respective courts; luckily, the staff is friendly and will help you through the process.

The current Nacogdoches County Court judge has been in office since 2011 and has dedicated his life serving the Nacogdoches. The courts, the district clerk, and the county clerk’s office are located in the historic Nacogdoches County Courthouse. The Nacogdoches County Court is located on 101 West Main Street in the city of Nacogdoches, the Nacogdoches county seat.

The administration of justice in the Nacogdoches County Court is open, transparent, and open to the public. All the proceedings and acts of the court are recorded and maintained by the Nacogdoches County Clerk’s Office.  The public can access the record online or by mailing the county clerk’s office located at Nacogdoches County Courthouse. The requests are made by creating a written statement indicating a request for the records, the case number, and requisite application fees in a stamped self-addressed envelope. For more information about court proceedings, visit the court’s official site.

Nacogdoches County Court was first built in 1856 in the Nacogdoches Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in May 1875. Four courthouses have been built in Nacogdoches. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome. You can call 936-560-7755 or fax 936-560-7841 to the court during office hours to get more information.
