North Central Texas Academy Baseball Field began in 1997 as a day school where it had 40 students. In 2002, they added a boarding section that continued to attract more students from various parts of the world. Today, the school has over 837 students, with 18 countries represented. Most day scholars are from the local Hood area, given their proximity to their homes.
