Programs at Taft Headstart
The Taft Headstart offers children from 6 weeks to those in third-grade various programs that best fit their needs. They include but are not limited to infant care, preschool care, after-school care, and summer camp.
The Taft Headstart center believes that children learn through play, so they make it their mission to provide fun and enriching activities for your child aligned with the PA early learning standards. They are open from 6.30 am to 6.00 pm, Monday-Friday. The different age group groupings are: kindergarten to third grade (school age), 6 weeks up to 11 months (infants), 12 months to 35 months (toddlers), 36 months to 5 years (preschool).

Education and Safety Standards
The Taft Headstart has been trained to implement an educational curriculum and provide first aid and various other skills required for their safety and your child.

They hold the necessary licenses and are up to date on all education requirements as required by state law in Texas. Some staff members have gone above and beyond by becoming certified in pediatric CPR courses or early intervention therapy courses.
