Young District Court serves the residents of Young County, the 33th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Graham district clerk and county clerk. Young District Court was first built in 1866 in the Young Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in December 1892. Four courthouses have been built in Graham. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
