Floresville Justice of Peace Court I serves the residents of Wilson County, the 120th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Floresville district clerk and county clerk. Issues that should be filed with the county clerk or the district clerk should be strictly filed within the respective courts; luckily, the staff is friendly and will help you through the process.

The current Floresville Justice of Peace Court I judge has been in office since 2019 and has dedicated his life serving the Floresville. The courts, the district clerk, and the county clerk’s office are located in the historic Wilson County Courthouse. The Floresville Justice of Peace Court I is located on 800 10th Street in the city of Floresville, the Wilson county seat.

The administration of justice in the Floresville Justice of Peace Court I is open, transparent, and open to the public. All the proceedings and acts of the court are recorded and maintained by the Wilson County Clerk’s Office.  The public can access the record online or by mailing the county clerk’s office located at Wilson County Courthouse. The requests are made by creating a written statement indicating a request for the records, the case number, and requisite application fees in a stamped self-addressed envelope. For more information about court proceedings, visit the court’s official site.

Floresville Justice of Peace Court I was first built in 1894 in the Wilson Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in March 1875. Four courthouses have been built in Floresville. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome. You can call 830-393-5112 or fax 830-393-5213 to the court during office hours to get more information.
