Round Rock Municipal Court serves the residents of Williamson County, the 222th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Round Rock district clerk and county clerk. Issues that should be filed with the county clerk or the district clerk should be strictly filed within the respective courts; luckily, the staff is friendly and will help you through the process.

The current Round Rock Municipal Court judge has been in office since 2014 and has dedicated his life serving the Round Rock. The courts, the district clerk, and the county clerk’s office are located in the historic Williamson County Courthouse. The Round Rock Municipal Court is located on 301 West Bagdad Avenue in the city of Round Rock, the Williamson county seat.

The administration of justice in the Round Rock Municipal Court is open, transparent, and open to the public. All the proceedings and acts of the court are recorded and maintained by the Williamson County Clerk’s Office.  The public can access the record online or by mailing the county clerk’s office located at Williamson County Courthouse. The requests are made by creating a written statement indicating a request for the records, the case number, and requisite application fees in a stamped self-addressed envelope. For more information about court proceedings, visit the court’s official site.

Round Rock Municipal Court was first built in 1853 in the Williamson Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in February 1889. Four courthouses have been built in Round Rock. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome. You can call 512-218-5480 or fax 512-218-7079 to the court during office hours to get more information.
