Granger Municipal Court serves the residents of Williamson County, the 222th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. Granger Municipal Court was first built in 1872 in the Williamson Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in March 1876. Four courthouses have been built in Granger. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
