Willacy County Court was first built in 1918 in the Willacy Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in February 1881. Four courthouses have been built in Raymondville. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
