Raymondville Municipal Court serves the residents of Willacy County, the 128th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Raymondville district clerk and county clerk. Issues that should be filed with the county clerk or the district clerk should be strictly filed within the respective courts; luckily, the staff is friendly and will help you through the process.

The current Raymondville Municipal Court judge has been in office since 2012 and has dedicated his life serving the Raymondville. The courts, the district clerk, and the county clerk’s office are located in the historic Willacy County Courthouse. The Raymondville Municipal Court is located on 523 West Hidalgo Avenue in the city of Raymondville, the Willacy county seat.

The administration of justice in the Raymondville Municipal Court is open, transparent, and open to the public. All the proceedings and acts of the court are recorded and maintained by the Willacy County Clerk’s Office.  The public can access the record online or by mailing the county clerk’s office located at Willacy County Courthouse. The requests are made by creating a written statement indicating a request for the records, the case number, and requisite application fees in a stamped self-addressed envelope. For more information about court proceedings, visit the court’s official site.

Raymondville Municipal Court was first built in 1920 in the Willacy Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in January 1889. Four courthouses have been built in Raymondville. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome. You can call 956-689-6449 to the court during office hours to get more information.
