Sabinal Municipal Court serves the residents of Uvalde County, the 191th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. Sabinal Municipal Court was first built in 1870 in the Uvalde Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in October 1910. Four courthouses have been built in Sabinal. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
