San Angelo Justice of Peace Court III serves the residents of Tom Green County, the 192th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the San Angelo district clerk and county clerk. Issues that should be filed with the county clerk or the district clerk should be strictly filed within the respective courts; luckily, the staff is friendly and will help you through the process.

The current San Angelo Justice of Peace Court III judge has been in office since 2012 and has dedicated his life serving the San Angelo. The courts, the district clerk, and the county clerk’s office are located in the historic Tom Green County Courthouse. The San Angelo Justice of Peace Court III is located on 122 West Harris Avenue in the city of San Angelo, the Tom Green county seat.

The administration of justice in the San Angelo Justice of Peace Court III is open, transparent, and open to the public. All the proceedings and acts of the court are recorded and maintained by the Tom Green County Clerk’s Office.  The public can access the record online or by mailing the county clerk’s office located at Tom Green County Courthouse. The requests are made by creating a written statement indicating a request for the records, the case number, and requisite application fees in a stamped self-addressed envelope. For more information about court proceedings, visit the court’s official site.

San Angelo Justice of Peace Court III was first built in 1887 in the Tom Green Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in March 1879. Four courthouses have been built in San Angelo. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome. You can call 325-659-6444 or fax 325-659-6459 to the court during office hours to get more information.
