Mansfield Municipal County was first built in 1915 in the Tarrant Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in September 1858. Four courthouses have been built in Mansfield. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
