Kennedale Municipal Court serves the residents of Tarrant County, the 74th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Kennedale district clerk and county clerk. Issues that should be filed with the county clerk or the district clerk should be strictly filed within the respective courts; luckily, the staff is friendly and will help you through the process.

The current Kennedale Municipal Court judge has been in office since 2011 and has dedicated his life serving the Kennedale. The courts, the district clerk, and the county clerk’s office are located in the historic Tarrant County Courthouse. The Kennedale Municipal Court is located on 405 Municipal Drive in the city of Kennedale, the Tarrant county seat.

The administration of justice in the Kennedale Municipal Court is open, transparent, and open to the public. All the proceedings and acts of the court are recorded and maintained by the Tarrant County Clerk’s Office.  The public can access the record online or by mailing the county clerk’s office located at Tarrant County Courthouse. The requests are made by creating a written statement indicating a request for the records, the case number, and requisite application fees in a stamped self-addressed envelope. For more information about court proceedings, visit the court’s official site.

Kennedale Municipal Court was first built in 1860 in the Tarrant Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in May 1886. Four courthouses have been built in Kennedale. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome. You can call 817-985-2140 or fax 817-478-4309 to the court during office hours to get more information.
