La Grulla Municipal Court was first built in 1896 in the Starr Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in May 1888. Four courthouses have been built in La Grulla. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
