San Saba Municipal Court serves the residents of San Saba County, the 220th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the San Saba district clerk and county clerk. Issues that should be filed with the county clerk or the district clerk should be strictly filed within the respective courts; luckily, the staff is friendly and will help you through the process.

The current San Saba Municipal Court judge has been in office since 2017 and has dedicated his life serving the San Saba. The courts, the district clerk, and the county clerk’s office are located in the historic San Saba County Courthouse. The San Saba Municipal Court is located on 500 East Wallace Street in the city of San Saba, the San Saba county seat.

The administration of justice in the San Saba Municipal Court is open, transparent, and open to the public. All the proceedings and acts of the court are recorded and maintained by the San Saba County Clerk’s Office.  The public can access the record online or by mailing the county clerk’s office located at San Saba County Courthouse. The requests are made by creating a written statement indicating a request for the records, the case number, and requisite application fees in a stamped self-addressed envelope. For more information about court proceedings, visit the court’s official site.

San Saba Municipal Court was first built in 1917 in the San Saba Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in February 1896. Four courthouses have been built in San Saba. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome. You can call 325-372-5746 to the court during office hours to get more information.
