Trinity District Court I was first built in 1853 in the San Jacinto Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in October 1904. Four courthouses have been built in Coldspring. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
