Cleveland Justice Court II serves the residents of San Jacinto County, the 151th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Cleveland district clerk and county clerk. Issues that should be filed with the county clerk or the district clerk should be strictly filed within the respective courts; luckily, the staff is friendly and will help you through the process.

The current Cleveland Justice Court II judge has been in office since 2012 and has dedicated his life serving the Cleveland. The courts, the district clerk, and the county clerk’s office are located in the historic San Jacinto County Courthouse. The Cleveland Justice Court II is located on 35 Lilley Yeager Loop North in the city of Cleveland, the San Jacinto county seat.

The administration of justice in the Cleveland Justice Court II is open, transparent, and open to the public. All the proceedings and acts of the court are recorded and maintained by the San Jacinto County Clerk’s Office.  The public can access the record online or by mailing the county clerk’s office located at San Jacinto County Courthouse. The requests are made by creating a written statement indicating a request for the records, the case number, and requisite application fees in a stamped self-addressed envelope. For more information about court proceedings, visit the court’s official site.

Cleveland Justice Court II was first built in 1860 in the San Jacinto Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in March 1875. Four courthouses have been built in Cleveland. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome. You can call 281-592-4400 or fax 281-592-4410 to the court during office hours to get more information.
