Pineland Municipal Court serves the residents of Sabine County, the 157th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. Pineland Municipal Court was first built in 1905 in the Sabine Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in February 1918. Four courthouses have been built in Pineland. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
