Presidio Municipal Court serves the residents of Presidio County, the 168th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. Presidio Municipal Court was first built in 1887 in the Presidio Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in October 1875. Four courthouses have been built in Presidio. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
