Parker District Court serves the residents of Parker County, the 64th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. Parker District Court was first built in 1875 in the Parker Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in October 1879. Four courthouses have been built in Weatherford. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
