Parker County Court serves the residents of Parker County, the 64th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Weatherford district clerk and county clerk. Parker County Court was first built in 1868 in the Parker Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in April 1875. Four courthouses have been built in Weatherford. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
