Mineral Wells Municipal Court was first built in 1864 in the Palo Pinto Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in October 1886. Four courthouses have been built in Mineral Wells. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
