Pine Forest Municipal Court was first built in 1879 in the Orange Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in February 1864. Four courthouses have been built in Vidor. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
