Municipal Court serves the residents of Orange County, the 170th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Vidor district clerk and county clerk. The current Municipal Court judge has been in office since 2014 and has dedicated his life serving the Vidor. Municipal Court was first built in 1899 in the Orange Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in August 1919. Four courthouses have been built in Vidor. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
