Ochiltree County Court serves the residents of Ochiltree County, the 51th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. Ochiltree County Court was first built in 1887 in the Ochiltree Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in April 1870. Four courthouses have been built in Perryton. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
