Robstown Justice of Peace Court serves the residents of Nueces County, the 218th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Robstown district clerk and county clerk. Issues that should be filed with the county clerk or the district clerk should be strictly filed within the respective courts; luckily, the staff is friendly and will help you through the process.

The current Robstown Justice of Peace Court judge has been in office since 2018 and has dedicated his life serving the Robstown. The courts, the district clerk, and the county clerk’s office are located in the historic Nueces County Courthouse. The Robstown Justice of Peace Court is located on 710 East Main Avenue in the city of Robstown, the Nueces county seat.

The administration of justice in the Robstown Justice of Peace Court is open, transparent, and open to the public. All the proceedings and acts of the court are recorded and maintained by the Nueces County Clerk’s Office.  The public can access the record online or by mailing the county clerk’s office located at Nueces County Courthouse. The requests are made by creating a written statement indicating a request for the records, the case number, and requisite application fees in a stamped self-addressed envelope. For more information about court proceedings, visit the court’s official site.

Robstown Justice of Peace Court was first built in 1867 in the Nueces Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in August 1905. Four courthouses have been built in Robstown. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome. You can call 361-767-5205 or fax 361-767-5266 to the court during office hours to get more information.
