Castroville Municipal Court was first built in 1905 in the Medina Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in August 1908. Four courthouses have been built in Castroville. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
