Lorena Municipal Court serves the residents of McLennan County, the 241th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. Lorena Municipal Court was first built in 1884 in the McLennan Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in November 1885. Four courthouses have been built in Lorena. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
