Lynn County Court serves the residents of Lynn County, the 95th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Tahoka district clerk and county clerk. Lynn County Court was first built in 1908 in the Lynn Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in March 1911. Four courthouses have been built in Tahoka. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
