Buffalo Springs Municipal Court serves the residents of Lubbock County, the 86th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Lubbock district clerk and county clerk. Issues that should be filed with the county clerk or the district clerk should be strictly filed within the respective courts; luckily, the staff is friendly and will help you through the process.

The current Buffalo Springs Municipal Court judge has been in office since 2014 and has dedicated his life serving the Lubbock. The courts, the district clerk, and the county clerk’s office are located in the historic Lubbock County Courthouse. The Buffalo Springs Municipal Court is located on 9999 High Meadow Road in the city of Lubbock, the Lubbock county seat.

The administration of justice in the Buffalo Springs Municipal Court is open, transparent, and open to the public. All the proceedings and acts of the court are recorded and maintained by the Lubbock County Clerk’s Office.  The public can access the record online or by mailing the county clerk’s office located at Lubbock County Courthouse. The requests are made by creating a written statement indicating a request for the records, the case number, and requisite application fees in a stamped self-addressed envelope. For more information about court proceedings, visit the court’s official site.

Buffalo Springs Municipal Court was first built in 1888 in the Lubbock Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in April 1870. Four courthouses have been built in Lubbock. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome. You can call 806-790-4324 to the court during office hours to get more information.
