Kingsland Justice of Peace Court was first built in 1912 in the Llano Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in June 1884. Four courthouses have been built in Kingsland. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
