Three Rivers Municipal Court serves the residents of Live Oak County, the 234th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Three Rivers district clerk and county clerk. Issues that should be filed with the county clerk or the district clerk should be strictly filed within the respective courts; luckily, the staff is friendly and will help you through the process.

The current Three Rivers Municipal Court judge has been in office since 2012 and has dedicated his life serving the Three Rivers. The courts, the district clerk, and the county clerk’s office are located in the historic Live Oak County Courthouse. The Three Rivers Municipal Court is located on 3 Gallaher Street in the city of Three Rivers, the Live Oak county seat.

The administration of justice in the Three Rivers Municipal Court is open, transparent, and open to the public. All the proceedings and acts of the court are recorded and maintained by the Live Oak County Clerk’s Office.  The public can access the record online or by mailing the county clerk’s office located at Live Oak County Courthouse. The requests are made by creating a written statement indicating a request for the records, the case number, and requisite application fees in a stamped self-addressed envelope. For more information about court proceedings, visit the court’s official site.

Three Rivers Municipal Court was first built in 1900 in the Live Oak Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in January 1869. Four courthouses have been built in Three Rivers. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome. You can call 361-786-3512 to the court during office hours to get more information.
