Follett Municipal Court was first built in 1871 in the Lipscomb Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in January 1892. Four courthouses have been built in Follett. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
