Booker Municipal Court serves the residents of Lipscomb County, the 30th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. Booker Municipal Court was first built in 1904 in the Lipscomb Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in April 1878. Four courthouses have been built in Booker. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
