Lampasas District Court serves the residents of Lampasas County, the 136th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Lampasas district clerk and county clerk. Issues that should be filed with the county clerk or the district clerk should be strictly filed within the respective courts; luckily, the staff is friendly and will help you through the process.

The current Lampasas District Court judge has been in office since 2017 and has dedicated his life serving the Lampasas. The courts, the district clerk, and the county clerk’s office are located in the historic Lampasas County Courthouse. The Lampasas District Court is located on 409 South Pecan Street in the city of Lampasas, the Lampasas county seat.

The administration of justice in the Lampasas District Court is open, transparent, and open to the public. All the proceedings and acts of the court are recorded and maintained by the Lampasas County Clerk’s Office.  The public can access the record online or by mailing the county clerk’s office located at Lampasas County Courthouse. The requests are made by creating a written statement indicating a request for the records, the case number, and requisite application fees in a stamped self-addressed envelope. For more information about court proceedings, visit the court’s official site.

Lampasas District Court was first built in 1908 in the Lampasas Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in July 1876. Four courthouses have been built in Lampasas. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome. You can call 254-933-5261 or fax 254-556-9463 to the court during office hours to get more information.
