Knox County Court serves the residents of Knox County, the 112th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. Knox County Court was first built in 1893 in the Knox Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in July 1861. Four courthouses have been built in Benjamin. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
