Burleson Municipal Court was first built in 1866 in the Johnson Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in April 1872. Four courthouses have been built in Burleson. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
