Orange Grove Municipal Court was first built in 1847 in the Jim Wells Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in August 1859. Four courthouses have been built in Orange Grove. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
