Chandler Municipal Court serves the residents of Henderson County, the 19th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. Chandler Municipal Court was first built in 1909 in the Henderson Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in September 1867. Four courthouses have been built in Chandler. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
