Morgan’s Point Municipal Court serves the residents of Harris County, the 187th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. Morgan’s Point Municipal Court was first built in 1883 in the Harris Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in August 1889. Four courthouses have been built in La Porte. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
