Jersey Village Municipal Court was first built in 1854 in the Harris Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in June 1855. Four courthouses have been built in Jersey Village. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
