Jersey Village Municipal Court serves the residents of Harris County, the 187th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Jersey Village district clerk and county clerk. Issues that should be filed with the county clerk or the district clerk should be strictly filed within the respective courts; luckily, the staff is friendly and will help you through the process.

The current Jersey Village Municipal Court judge has been in office since 2011 and has dedicated his life serving the Jersey Village. The courts, the district clerk, and the county clerk’s office are located in the historic Harris County Courthouse. The Jersey Village Municipal Court is located on 16327 Lakeview Drive in the city of Jersey Village, the Harris county seat.

The administration of justice in the Jersey Village Municipal Court is open, transparent, and open to the public. All the proceedings and acts of the court are recorded and maintained by the Harris County Clerk’s Office.  The public can access the record online or by mailing the county clerk’s office located at Harris County Courthouse. The requests are made by creating a written statement indicating a request for the records, the case number, and requisite application fees in a stamped self-addressed envelope. For more information about court proceedings, visit the court’s official site.

Jersey Village Municipal Court was first built in 1854 in the Harris Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in June 1855. Four courthouses have been built in Jersey Village. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome. You can call 713-466-2124 to the court during office hours to get more information.
