Houston Bear Creek Justice of Peace Court serves the residents of Harris County, the 187th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Houston district clerk and county clerk. Issues that should be filed with the county clerk or the district clerk should be strictly filed within the respective courts; luckily, the staff is friendly and will help you through the process.

The current Houston Bear Creek Justice of Peace Court judge has been in office since 2015 and has dedicated his life serving the Houston. The courts, the district clerk, and the county clerk’s office are located in the historic Harris County Courthouse. The Houston Bear Creek Justice of Peace Court is located on 16715 Clay Road in the city of Houston, the Harris county seat.

The administration of justice in the Houston Bear Creek Justice of Peace Court is open, transparent, and open to the public. All the proceedings and acts of the court are recorded and maintained by the Harris County Clerk’s Office.  The public can access the record online or by mailing the county clerk’s office located at Harris County Courthouse. The requests are made by creating a written statement indicating a request for the records, the case number, and requisite application fees in a stamped self-addressed envelope. For more information about court proceedings, visit the court’s official site.

Houston Bear Creek Justice of Peace Court was first built in 1858 in the Harris Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in September 1886. Four courthouses have been built in Houston. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome. You can call 281-463-2341 or fax 281-463-1059 to the court during office hours to get more information.
