Hale Center Municipal Court was first built in 1912 in the Hale Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in May 1858. Four courthouses have been built in Hale Center. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
