Marion Municipal Court serves the residents of Guadalupe County, the 134th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. Marion Municipal Court was first built in 1912 in the Guadalupe Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in February 1863. Four courthouses have been built in Marion. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
