Rosenburg Municipal Court serves the residents of Fort Bend County, the 100th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Rosenberg district clerk and county clerk. Rosenburg Municipal Court was first built in 1904 in the Fort Bend Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in September 1856. Four courthouses have been built in Rosenberg. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
