Fort BendLiberty Street District Court was first built in 1915 in the Fort Bend Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in December 1859. Four courthouses have been built in Richmond. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
