Foard County Court serves the residents of Foard County, the 140th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Crowell district clerk and county clerk. The current Foard County Court judge has been in office since 2011 and has dedicated his life serving the Crowell. Foard County Court was first built in 1904 in the Foard Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in February 1852. Four courthouses have been built in Crowell. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
