Schulenburg Municipal Court was first built in 1857 in the Fayette Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in March 1885. Four courthouses have been built in Schulenburg. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
