La Grange Municipal Court was first built in 1916 in the Fayette Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in June 1890. Four courthouses have been built in La Grange. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
